Q: What airport should I fly into?
A: Kilimanjaro International Airport - airport code JRO is by far the most convenient. It is approximately a 45 minute drive by car. KLM airlines flys nonstop into Kilimanjaro Airport from several European cities. Other airlines connect mostly through Nairobi. The other option Dar es Salaam - airport code DAR is often the cheaper option but we cannot meet you at the airport there and it is an 8 hour bus ride to Moshi from there.
Q: How do arrange my visa to enter the country and allow me to volunteer?
A: I you are coming to volunteer, Foot 2 Afrika will arrange your class C volunteer permit before you arrive. In order to do this, they will require various documents from you and some forms to be completed. You will be required to supply them along with the fee of $120 - figure accurate on November 2008.
